What is Lymphedema?
Lymphedema is the clinical manifestation of impaired lymphatic transport. As a consequence of impaired lymphatic drainage, proteins and lipids accumulate in the interstitial space, causing the regional tissue to undergo extensive and progressive architectural changes, including adipose tissue deposition and fibrosis.
Lymphedema may arise due to genetic factors or secondary to damage of lymphatic vessels due to infectious diseases or trauma, including radiotherapy and surgical removal of lymph nodes during cancer treatment.

Our goal is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools they need to manage their condition effectively and lead fulfilling lives.
Educating the Public
Public education is crucial in raising awareness about lymphedema and reducing the stigma associated with it. We will launch comprehensive educational campaigns to inform the public about the causes, symptoms, and management of lymphedema. By increasing awareness, we hope to encourage early diagnosis and intervention, ultimately improving the quality of life for those affected.
