About Us

The Lymphedema Society of Singapore was founded in April 2020 with three main aims.

Education and Training

The Society intends to educate and disseminate information on lymphedema and its prevention to the public, patients and professional healthcare providers, through our website, seminars, congresses and courses on lymphedema. In addition, the Society aims to foster the exchange of the latest and accurate information amongst all stakeholders involved in the care and management of the clinical problems of lymphedema.

Support for Patients

The Society seeks to assist patients in their recovery on all fronts; physical treatment and management, rehabilitation, psychological effects of lymphedema, as well as providing necessary support through education.

Research

The Society aims to promote and support research on the clinical, scientific and social aspects of lymphedema, and provide independent advice to various organisations: universities, media, government, commercial companies and industries. Lastly, it aims to analyse and respond to researchers working on lymphedema, while encouraging international and interdisciplinary research at the same time.
