About Us

About Us

The Lymphedema Society of Singapore was founded in April 2020 with three main aims.

Education and Training

Education and Training

The Society is committed to raising awareness and enhancing knowledge about lymphedema among the public, patients, and healthcare professionals. Through our website, seminars, conferences, and specialized training courses, we aim to promote understanding of lymphedema and strategies for its prevention and management. We also strive to create a collaborative platform where the latest and most accurate information can be shared among all stakeholders involved in the care of individuals living with lymphedema.

Support for Patients

The Society is dedicated to supporting patients throughout their lymphedema journey—addressing not only physical treatment and rehabilitation, but also the emotional and psychological impact of the condition. We aim to empower patients through education, guidance, and access to resources that promote holistic recovery and improved quality of life.

Research

Research

The Society is committed to advancing research into the clinical, scientific, and social dimensions of lymphedema. We support and promote studies that deepen understanding of the condition and provide independent guidance to universities, media, government bodies, and industry partners. Additionally, we actively engage with researchers in the field, offering constructive feedback while fostering international and interdisciplinary collaboration to drive meaningful progress in lymphedema care.
